Miracles happen. It's sort of like how shit happens, but better.
Having experienced both - the beauty and the brokenness - Kari's coaching holds space for what has been, while laying focus on what's becoming.
With lived experience overcoming the disorientation of a partnership beside a malignant narcissist and the emotional and psychological abuse that entails, Kari blends professional expertise with personal wisdom to her practice. She carries a resonate knowing that comes from having been there - uprooted and exhausted, full of self-doubt and judgment, struggling to rebuild a life beside a brain, body, spirit, and community that felt far from known, or safe.
Passionate about walking beside others who are reclaiming their power, Kari integrates trauma-informed techniques with holistic approaches to cultivate a life tilting toward joy. She serves as a compassionate witness for her clients who are sifting through their own mess and miracles, and who are in process of returning home to themselves.
Apart from being a trauma survivor herself, Kari is certified as a Trauma-Informed Coach through the ICF-accredited program provided by Moving the Human Spirit and a graduate of the Wayfinder Life Coach Training. She’s a fierce lover of nature and the outdoors, and prior to her life implosions spent
Meet Kari
years working as a backpacking guide in Montana and Director of an outdoor camp in the mountains of Idaho, empowering kids and young adults through backpacking, white water, rafting, rock climbing, and more.
A preschool teacher by day and an outdoor enthusiast by always, Kari believes (and has lived) that healing isn't just about reflection - it's equally about movement, neuroscience, embodiment, connection, mindfulness, play, and creativity. She has built her life around these themes accordingly. Since life, like healing, longs to be lived fully.
When not at work or at play, Kari resides in a small home off the shores of the Puget Sound, surrounded by pine and Douglas Fir. Here she celebrates wildflowers by the kitchen sink, a Saturday morning with nothing to do, French press (caffeinated) coffee at 3pm, and a weekend adventuring to the mountains just because. She's happiest doing life beside her people and her pup.
Kari dreams of one day living in a small mountain town where the sun shines early and often, wildflowers abound, and the neighbors stop over unannounced. Maybe some of those neighbors will even be goats. And chickens.
Truth and beauty have saved her life, so she's setting out to create some more of that.
Meet Mango MaeMango is the taskmaster of mid-day river walks and extended naps by Kari’s side. She is a lover of unscheduled days, backyard trails, and the wild wonders of this world.
Mostly, she makes everything better simply by being.
